The MAINE Oyster Bar & Grill
Tucked away in a hotel garage on the edge of Dubai’s sprawling coastline, The MAINE Oyster Bar & Grill is a Seaside Brasserie that has won multiple awards and accolades over the years including ‘Best Newcomer’ from What’s ON Magazine 2016, ‘Best Seafood’ from BBC Good Food and ‘Best Restaurant Bar’ from TimeOut.
As an expression of his North American roots, MAINE Founder, Joey Ghazal, is serving up a slice of culinary nostalgia for those longing for an honest dining experience devoid of any pretentiousness or gimmickry. Blending a post-industrial brasserie aesthetic and meat packing vibe, the room has a retro-vintage feel with a laid-back New England Extravagance.
Of course no brasserie experience is complete without a glistening exhibition kitchen that anchors the room serving live lobsters, seafood towers, fashionable crudo and oyster galore. Boasting crowd-pleasing brasserie fare the family style menu runs the gamut from steaks and chops, to fresh fish and seafood, to pot roasts and steamers, bolstered by a slim unpretentious wine list. The long-bar at The MAINE attracts an eclectic crowd of young urbanites downing good old-fashioned cocktails by the bucket.

The MAINE STREET EATERY
The MAINE Street Eatery is your typical neighborhood eatery designed with the same retro-vintage feel that has come to define the brand. Founder, Joey Ghazal, describes the new branch as "A cousin of the original MAINE in JBR, rather than a twin or an exact copy". A low-key nod to the original MAINE in JBR, this corner tavern features the same signature central bar, exhibition kitchen, raw bar, crystal chandeliers, comfortable booth seating and poolside terrace with a play area for young children. The menu boasts many of the Maine's greatest crowd-pleasers along with some new dishes that have been tailored to the neighborhood, such as meal salads, artisan sandwiches, pizzas and puddings.
THE MAINE LAND BRASSERIE
Located at Zaha Hadid’s Magnum Opus in Business Bay, The MAINE Land Brasserie is the newest outpost of the brand designed for the downtown crowd. His third helping of nostalgia, The MAINE Man, Joey Ghazal, breathes fresh life into the familiar brasserie genre, grafting the present onto the past, with a blend of period fidelity and contemporary gloss. Capturing the clubby spirit of a handsomely timeworn brasserie this MAINE resembles an old world steakhouse with a strong undertow of sensuality. Designed with a jaw dropping neo-speakeasy aesthetic, every accidentally-on-purpose detail, from the soaring double-height ceilings, well-worn floor tiles, bentwood rattan chairs, cathedralesque windows, crystal chandeliers and a charcoal grill that dominates the room, makes you feel as though The MAINE Land Brasserie has been in business, and you’ve been a regular, forever. The menu cascades from shellfish to snails and fresh fish to bespoke steak cuts that are aged to perfection for insatiable carnivores to enjoy. A few 'old war horses' from the original MAINE menu in JBR have been summoned, but the menu features new dishes that will surprise and delight. The long bar is the 'crown jewel' of the room, manned by an army of skilled mixologists with a slavish allegiance to the craft of fine cocktail making.
THE MAINE WORLD FAMOUS TACOS
Born in a hotel garage at the edge of Dubai's coastline, The MAINE's Crispy Fish Taco is as much a Dubai landmark as many of the city's superfluous monuments. MAINE loyalists literally dream of our now infamous Fish Taco - hot and crispy battered cod fresh from the fryer, cool crunchy cabbage slaw, rich drizzle of mayo, our spicy pico de gallo for a pleasant dash of heat and the compulsory squirt of lime. So famous in fact that we converted an Old Citroen into our very own Taco Truck for our beach-and-taco-crazed clientele. You can't eat just one taco, so the menu serves up a variety of other tacos and taco bowls, along with our New England Lobster Roll, Classic Montreal Poutine and signature Bloody Mary. Enjoy the taste of endless summer tucked into a warm tortilla or two.
